... that i answered at least four questions wrong on my into to music exam yesterday. AHHH, THAT'S SO HORRIBLE. I just realized i mixed up diatonic and chromatic half steps when drawing them out. AHHHFGUIO!!!

I've been working the whole weekend, never being outside in the weather, that im sure must have been amazing. Eff them customers that gave me and my coworkers a hard time. This weekend was pretty hectic at work, for real though. :( So anyway, I'm hoping to find a new job sometime soon, but I doubt any of the jobs have a manager thats very cool with day off schedules and flexible hours. So, I don't know what to do D: ... I hate most (not all) customers in the store, they drive me nuts! haha.

Anyway, that's pretty much it for now. My plans this week are to rearrange the room, and study study study. :[

So, last time I blogged, I had summer school at Mission college to cover some GE units. A's for both classes, yayer!

Hmm... I can't recall the whole summer and its events, but I went to Socal with Bernard, Nicole and Jonathan :] the last week of summer. Went to Hollywood, ate at an expensive high quality restaurant Roy's, went to Disneyland, CA adventure, and Pismo Beach.
Oh! before that, the week before, i spent 2 days at a resort in the desert... somewhere right next to Mojave. My parents won a free trip and everything was free for the days, food too. Cept, they were kinda lured to buying land towards the end of the stay. They had to go on this tour thing. The people there announced that a CSU (another Cal Poly they say?) would be built on the desert in a couple years, and itd be great to buy land now so that you could get rich off of it once ppl start wanting to build buildings. They provided a map too of the land and where the school was going to be placed. A CSU in the desert?! Insane, who would want to go to school in the desert?

Anyways, the past 2 weeks have been hectic. I've been litterally running around campus just trying to add classes to get enough units for financial aid. I succesfully added 2 classes. Yesterday was the last day to drop, so I am now set with my classes. All I have to do today is catch up with them with the hw. During those two weeks, I didn't even have time to hang out with some friends :[.
I also attended Akbayan's first general meeting on Thursday. I am still kinda sad I didn't join last year. It seems like a lot of fun, so I am sticking to it :D. Yay!

i will be giving up:
1) fast foods (healthy ones dont count, or ones that take long). it'll be hard to resist because theyre everywhere on campus, and i usually go there for my hour breaks D:. doing it cause it wastes my money and makes me fat D:
2) soda... because hey, ive been doing it for awhile and its a pretty healthy to let it go.
3) swearing... cause i've been doing a lot of that lately. and i should break the habit.

and i will increase the times i exercise, or amount when i do it. but thats a maybe...

i remember giving up myspace for lent 2 years ago... it was thrilling to see the updates in comments, photo comments, events, friend requests, messages and etc all at the same time. but, i wont be giving up internet this year... i need it 'cause i'm hear most of the time. i really need to get out... and party.

I don't know why I am LiveJournal'n at this hour... when I should really do Chem1B Quiz 0, Read Chem1B Lab for the morning, read Biol1 pages, and do math homework D:!!!

Anyway, I have to remind myself that this isn't high school :[.

winter session just ended yesterday, 2 1/2 weeks went by so fast i'm glad i took the course! anyway, i think i've either got an A- or an A, depending on how i did on my finals.

what sucks is that spring semester is starting up on wednesday... D: noooo. i'm going to have a really busy schedule this semester. 17 units (maybe another 2) and work. so, all work and no play makes amethys a sad lil girl. i'm going to work hard to get a lot of tis out of the way. i think the next few semesters i should limit what courses i should take.

last night i watched Cloverfield with my sis and bernard. i was the only one that did not get dizzy out of the three of us. the movie DOES move around a lot so it's hard to focus on what's really going on. and yes, don't bring the HYPE from the trailer with you when watching the movie, because you'll only just ruin it for yourself with expectations. just go in and watch the movie with out any expectations :]. i love the concept of the movie, and the effects they used, but the end kind of just left me hanging. I'M STILL HANGING! soooo confused. haha.

let's see, what else... i'm kind of sad i didn't see a lot of friends (as i expected) this winter break :\. my schedule was either full with work, school or nothing at all. wish i had the opportunity to try something new for a change and party, ahhhh. christmas was not the same for me, families seemed like it meant nothing to them or gathering. new years was the same. or... it felt different. no new year's kiss like the last 2 new years (i blame strep throat, and being in london for that... well i dont blame london<3). but this year was 'cause family had to be there together at 12, so that we stay as a family for a year :].

not much else to update. i just miss high school sometimes because i miss having everyone around. but i like college cause its really easy to meet new people and its fun. i just wish i had more free time. next winter break, i'm not sure if i want to take winter session.

any way, i got lots of BANK yesterday and today. My mom returned the GPS i bought my mom and dad, so thats about $333 back. i got my paycheck at work $235 and today i got a grant or whatevs of $260 summin. sweeeeeet. thats gonna go towards books though, ahhh i hate how text books are hella expensive.

ps. i wont be eating at burrito express for awhile... i took a big bite towards the end of my burrito... and found a bone... a big one. yeah. end of story.

checked my email today on the email distribution list for chem1a. i was seriously at the borderline from passing or failing the course. C- is failing sorta, can't go on to chem1b with a C-. so... i was at the borderline of a C-/C. but i passed with a C+!! yee. im sooo happy, i just gotta study really hard for chem 1b :[. yeeeeeee. but i was SOOOOO clsoe to a B-. that makes me sad. getting a 2.3 instead of a 2.7 on my gpa. xD.

waiting on my other grades. sucks.


time to shop! been sooooo behind. by myself today :[. i hope malls arent busy at this hour.

so... finals week. yeah. 2 down, 1 to go. i lacked sleep this week, not 'cause of studying (i feel bad for that not being the reason). but i studied when the opportunity came around. today was CHEM1A final at 9:45am, ended at 12. i'm glad i had about an hour to go over my answers, i found plenty of answers i had written down as mistakes. i just checked my email right now, i got 134/200, 53 questions and each question was worth 2 summin or 3 point summin. but im pretty surprised, i had a high enough score to PASS LECTURE!! still waiting on lab grade for cumlative grade of the course, i know i did better in lab. just anticipating... 'cause i'm at the border line of passing with a C or failing with a C-... AHHHH.

anyway, watched IAMLEGEND. MIGHT I SAY, THAT IS A GREAT MOVIE!!! i read the first half of the novel before the movie, and it's a lot diff. rahter than LA, the movie is in new york. neville was suppose to be white (but who cares, will smith did a fantastic job!). there were some sad moments in there, which is why i loved it. lots of sudden loud noises for some scares. the movie as a whole, reminded me of Castaway. if you watch it, you'll know why. but yeah, definitely recommend this film<3.

i guess i will wait til enchanted comes out on dvd D,:

i miss mb, guard and yes, even though it was awhile, winter perc.

so i put my itunes on shuffle, and "the crow" (winter guard song), our remix, came on... and i loved that one melodic smooth part, the sad part. it made me sad. i miss dancing, performing, being on the floor. then again, i'm not a dancer :P. but i'm gonna take it for my KIN classes. yee.

i'm soooo over high school, but not music. music is my passion... but i'm not even doing it this year. breaks my heart. i currently dont have an instrument either. my clarinet was eaten by an odd bug, it literally survived by eating away my keypads. the bug had THREE skin sheddings in the clarinet case. it was gross. so i gave it to anhtuan to fix it. but it cost $200 to repair :[. my best friend since fourth grade, is my clarinet <3. well, i just remember it cracked near the thumb rest, sophomore year mb. i went to have it looked at... and the guy said someone possibly stepped on it... x__x. so... someone stepped on my clarinet when it was on the ground... during art of war. rawr. ohh well.

and i miss playing oboe. seriously. ITS SO BEAUTIFUL.

so i went to SJSU's campus movie fest on friday. it was cool how they had premier lights, i saw it on the freeway going there and i thought it was for that :). they also had a red carpet leading into the events center, it was so nice. i watched 16 movies made by student groups. 150 participated, but they only showed top 16. each film was 5 minutes max.

i really liked Love Struck and Mas Transit (a drama, true story about a guy meeting a girl on the light rail, but in the end she was a mute... it was so cute :'[). i cant find that one on youtube though.

but this one won Best Picture & Audience Choice at SJSU. I HELLLA LOVED IT.



muahahahahahahaha.

i just gathered all the pictures on my comp, my sis comp, other pictures stolen (but credited), of bernard and i.... made a movie/slideshow out of it, with menu display and everything, and burned it on to a dvd disc... AND TOTALLY PLAYED IT ON THE TV! yay!

SJSU, has been ok now, i'm starting to make friends with people in my classes... i hate getting bailed on :\, and the new people i meet are so cool and easy to talk to. so yeah, i can't rely on my friends to stay with me if they can't or dont want to, so i make new friends i suppose :(.


and i finally know what i want to do in the future. i'm a biochemistry major right now (cuz i wanted to be a pharmacist), but i want to switch to biological sciences to become a optometrist :). fo sho. i'm excited.





note. i pass by the music hall often, and i just love hearing the ensembles warm up or, even better, play a piece. its amazing what music has on me. and i miss it being in my life. i want to try to find a cheap oboe to buy (an ok one) and try to join one of the ensembles.


other note. it was so weird seeing/saying hi to matt guthrie during passing period. i really said "WHOA!" cuz i was looking at my phone and looked up, hah. kinda weird seeing an instructor go to school with you.

yay, happy 23 months boyfriend! <3

so, i've finally been in all of my classes and i think i'm comfortable with it :).

Chem1A Lecture 10:30-11:20 (MWF) - pretty stuffy, the classroom gets hot a lot. its the same lecture hall as the one i went to during the 2 week summer chem review. lots of people i know have the lecture before this one, but i got to know a few more indy people in mines. also i have erick to talk to, so alls good. so, theres this guy named TOBIAS (spl) WHO TOTALLY REMINDS ME OF JOSH! he's in my sem, lec and workshop class. He has the blond streaks like josh and is a dancer, hahaha. ohh josh.

Chem1A Lab 7:30-10:20 (W) - don't know anyone in lab, but shall make friends. got to talk with people around me. all we did was get our lockers, check out the equipment, demonstrate how to use a bunsen burner to her and did a worksheet.

Chem1A Seminar 9:30-10:20 (F) - still know few people in here. erick in this one as well. we just got our first quiz today, i think i did pretty ok, i probably missed one or two questions. i get bored in here... some times.

Chem1A Workshops 1:30-2:40 (Tues/Thurs) - just had one yesterday, it's cool. have it with erick (i guess chem buddy, hah). and the student who teaches the lessons is pretty funny :), she has an accent but i like how she keeps telling us things we're not suppose to know. the review is the same as the summer review course i took.

Engl1A Seminar 12:00-1:15 (Tues/thurs) - the teacher sounds like he talks in monotone, but he's pretty funny and talks straight out. like telling us how getting an F is as hard as getting an A. and about "commmercial whores" (something about using your car as an advertisement of a company). lots of reading, but i enjoyed the essay reading, not the getting to know english stuff :(, boring. also had our first in-class essay yesterday, i freaked out because i read the statement, tried to write ideas, BUT I COULDNT! well, i tried to, hah... i want to know what i got for it. i can't find it online, but it was something like "deep or inside every life is another life. this unseen life is like an unseen river beneath the city. beneath work, families, ... to be successful, to make a family, to survive, to get a career..." it was something like that, it was pretty interesting. but now that i looked it up, i find that John Tarrant (the writer) actually wrote stuff on Zen and Buddhism ... and i wrote something totally different. i hope it makes sense. i wrote about how we occupy ourselves too much to stop and realize the life we are planning for ourselves. hah... i got sad when people started finishing the essay before me :[. but all good. in this class... i dont know anyone, but i think this one girl was in marching band guard sometime ago and i was in it the same year. i think, this is the first class i ever had in my life with so many white people! its amazing, college. haha.

Sci2 Lecture 12:30-1:20 (MW) - so... i remember signing up for this with a limit of 200 students, and on monday i went to check again... we were moved to that one theater/hall in the Tower Hall building and they now changed the capacity of the lecture to 385 students. interesting... haha. anyway... LOTS of familiar faces in this class, mostly freshman, so it feels good to not be so lonely. sat with my chem1a summer review buddy, vanessa, the first day. we were in the front, and the only ones who didnt get any worksheets... ohhh neglected. hah. 2nd time sat with gen :), interesting how our classes are around the same time and we get the same breaks :). I think i listen when i'm in the front, i like sitting in the front. but the 2nd time i sat in the back 'cause we were late :X.

Sci2 Activity 8:00-10:xx (Tues) - i thought i was really late to this class, i parked in the shuttle area, took the shuttle, and instead of taking elevator in the building (bc its usually packed with people waiting [even to freaking go to the 2nd floor?!]) , i took the stairs and ran up them like crazy (even when i was completely out of shape and it was obvious). haha, so i came to class breathing really heavily... and finding out a lot of people were missing -_-. but they thought class started around 8:30 so, it was ok. i know SOME people in this class, its a small class, so its pretty good to know. justin is in there, leo (hannah's prom date) is in there, ermm... and i met some people, someone from vallejo, Jared and an evergreen person Theresa. we just disscussed the book and stuff, the teacher is from italy with an accent... its so weird how she can talk about the book so openly.. "so when a male baboon greats another male baboon, they yank on eachother's penises" she looked so calm throughtout class x_X.

Math 8 1:30-2:45 (MW) - OMG, ANOTHER MATH CLASS WHERE ITS HARD FOR ME TO PAY ATTENTION. ITS SO BORING, MY PROFESSOR IS AN OLD RUSSIAN MAN WITH AN ACCENT AND ITS HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HE SAYS :(... EVEN HIS JOKES, I FEEL BAD I NEVER CATCH ON TO THEM. i haven't even purchased by book for this class yet, boo. but its review to me... stuff from Junior year... ms. .. omg... i forgot her name, but she had a monotone and was a pretty easy teacher. but he doesnt care if we do hw or not, so ill buy the book on tuesday and hopeful review before any test. i feel bad though, a lot of people are already not paying attention when he talks... thats all he does. i get really sleepy and jiterry in this class... because it reminds me of stats... its at the end of the day.




so that concludes my experience. i think i like having classes every other day. it makes me lazy to start a hw though if i dont have the class for another week. but alls good. i like having to leave school before 3, which is like high school times. so, im adapting pretty ok. glad i dont have night classes though. ohh, i see JAN! a lot before going to chem lecture <3. yay for jan. i think i ran into jamos 2-3 times. i think its cool running into people :).

parking is insane. dont have free parking anymore, so i have to buy my permit this weekend. boo.

i think my parents are gonna have my car's windows tinted in the back, just 'cause its insane in the summer that my car is black, leather (not black) and likes to attract heat very easily. esspecially in this heat. so, to cool it down a bit, i guess it'll help.

i haven't been really seeing my friends lately because of school and hw stuff :(. i miss nicole :'(. i got to see her when she was picking up jonathan from school :). I STILL WANT TO SLEEP OVER AT YOUR HOUSE BEFORE YOU LEAVE, WE GOTTA HAVE FUN TIMES!!! plus... ON DEMAND! woot, haha. jk :).


i wish i had internet on my computer, i'm using my sister's laptop at the moment. we FINALLY have an internet for sure. haven't really had one since last thursday, when school started. poo.


but its ok. i'll survive.

ok, so im at mlk library right now. supposedly doing internet quizes i need to turn in tomorrow(?). but ive been reading all day for english and science, so i have to take a break someday.

i hate how i havent had internet at home since thursday... ITS KILLING ME, OMFRGGGr. so, library internet access on my sis' laptop is pretty fast here, i'm really amazed :D.

i really wanted to go to family day yesterday and watch you guys, i miss all of you band kids :'(. and THE BAND ROOM IS WHITE NOW?!?!? i havent passed by indy since... that time i visited? boo.

i found a vid recording of The End, bad angle... and can barely hear the woodwinds because of logans Astroturf. but, i loved our ending with the firebird flying out... good times.

so my first day of school on thursday was ehh. not as exciting, i only had one class for one hour. i parked pretty early and managed to find parking when i got there, IT WAS HECTIC. but i saw a lot of familiar faces and ran into gen... well, called her first to see if she had a class.
later that day bernard took me shopping and bought me a cool volcom bag and some clothes x], i shall owe him later on... when i have... a job :'(. went to UC ate some spicy chicken, then on the ride back home (tried to) sing random songs that we randomly chose from a random station. but first it started off like... me, "ok, what ever song comes up... is how i feel i about you *messing with station and randomly stop it*..." "BROKEN... WE'RE SO BROKEN..." x__x. hahahahaha, so we just played a new game and sang random songs. :)


friday, had chem class, easily found parking (thank god). the chem seminars and lectures before mines had A LOT of familiar faces, like katra, nes, a lot of people from indy. darn, made me sad. but i had class with minh and jeremy mac. then in seminar, i turn around to see who else is in my class... ERICK EROLES?! haha, we just stared at eachother for the longest time like O_O. finally someone im sorta close to.

slept when i got home, didnt know what to do, i couldnt contact anyone because i wasnt online :[.

saturday, instead of family day (:[), i went to mlk library to do most of my homework. buncha reading and online stuff. i have an essay to type out later... but i'll worry about it... tonight... :). it should be ok.


hahaha, my brother starts school tomorrow :). yesss for him not being home. <3 haha, jk jk.




anyway, i seriously miss band stuff :(. im putting myself to the books to make my parents proud of me, they want me to finish stuff early. stuff as in school. sigh. itd be nice to finish early i guess.



but i really miss theeeee music :'(.

another thing: i'm getting a haircut tomorrow, kinda spontaneous because its a $60 haircut for FREE! i wonder how theyre gonna make it. the longest haircuts they do are to the collar bone, but nothing longer than that. i hope its ok looking whatever i get. >_<... :D
